BigDogGuitar™ was formed in February of 2006. I am a guitar enthusiasts who in my younger days has played in bands and recording studios. During college I realized that I wanted to pursue my electrical engineering degree full time. Nowadays, I play mostly for my own amusement and amazement. I spent 30 years designing consumer electronics for marine, aviation and outdoors. I have since moved and become an entrepreneur. The result is BigDogGuitar.
During most of my adult life, I have built recording studios in my home wherever I lived and helped numerous others do so as well. I have designed and built guitar sound effects, lighting systems, PA equipment and much more.
It seemed like any band I was in, I became the “tech guy”. Let me tell ya, it is no fun putting everything away after playing until 2AM.
In college I modified a Hammond B3 used by Chicago Transit Authority in the 70’s and have consulted on numerous recording studios both home and professional. My life in consumer electronics familiarized me with factories and offered me opportunities to travel to Mexico, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Music, band equipment, guitars, bass guitars, amplifiers, drums, keyboards, and recording equipment are in my blood. I just love it all. It is fun looking for the elusive “talent boost” button.
In 2014 I started a line of guitar accessories under the Big Dog Guitar brand. This is the foundation of Big Dog Guitar™ going forward.
While this website started life as an affiliate website, it now contains only my own personal brand of products. As of this writing we have a gold capo, tungsten(black) capo and a gift box of 100 guitar picks. These carry the BigDogGuitar logo. More new products are in production and will be available very soon. Keep an eye on it.
My goal with BigDogGuitar is to provide musicians with premium quality guitar accessories at great prices. Hopefully, you will find something at Big Dog Guitar™ that will help you enjoy music more. Music is something that will stick with you for the rest of your life!
Keep on playin’
